Whst kind of oil???

2004 Toyota Sienna van. Myy son has always changed the
oil & bought supplies.  He keeps giving me excuse after
excuse.   I''m just honna buy EVERYTHING & show up on an
RSRLY Saturday morning.  I know to get HIGH MILAGE
OIL......does that REALLY make a difference??
...Do I get 10W 3. 5W 40??? Had NO clue there's SO many
options.     Thanks!#!#
