I inherited this from my wife (naturally) and I want to freshen up the look. New bigger wheels and tires, and looking for a new set of updated headlights, a grill and a GF package if such things exist. I also want to lower the stance by about 3". Has anyone out there done any of this or attempted it? If so, any details on places to shop and or info on if air rides are the way to go or simply cut the springs, stuff like that.

It's your car, so yours to do with as you please. But putting bigger wheels and tires, bigger wheels are fine but if you don't put the profile of tire down to stock, it will cause trouble with speedometer, ABS, Trac control, and that plus lowering it will play havoc with AWD system. The driveshaft to rear will then be too long.

TYVM. These are the things I needed to know. I'll do my due dilligence in keeping the the overall hub to tread radius as close to stock as feasible. As for the lowering, drive shafts length is something that had not occurred to me, so more research is in order. Are you aware of any custom GFX packages (pretty silly I guess) out there for these cars?
