What other engine and harness can I put in my 1994 toyota t100 dx

I have a 3.0L 5 speed but the power just isn't there. I love the truck and I want to upgrade it quite a bit.What engine size is capable of fitting and if you know of any place to get it. Would it be easier to find a '95 and above to fit it. or go for something bigger. I have never driven the 3.4L is it really that big of a difference? Thanks for the help

Price wise probably better off getting a newer T100 with the engine you want. Unless you are experienced in engine swaps and can find a wrecked (SOB!) T 100 to transparent from.
