1996 Tacoma 4x4 won't engage and mechanic can't find the relay to replace it. removed steering column, dashboard and still can't find. it's not behind glove box as schematics indicate. Where is it?

There is a 4wd control ecu left side of dash at body under steering column. Check your transfer case switch though.
