What is instant car value?

I see a reminder after someone made an offer on my car, stating its instant car
value.  What does this mean?  I used the car value calculator and it did come
out to be more, but the its value is based on condition of the truck, which
doesn't seem to be part of the calculation.

The instant value is a price comparison to other cars currently for sale. I think the value calculator uses a different data base.
