transmission problem?

I have a 2000 tacoma Automatic with 121000 miles on it, 5 pending codes P0420, running on freeway  at 50 to 65 on high gear it starts like I've ran over a 5 rumble strips and it won't pick up more speed when pressing the accelerator. I saw the driveshaft center bearing in bad shape, and I suspect I'm loosing power in accelation for bad cat converter. What is the rumble strip noise? is it a transmission problem?
