What is wrong with My Toyota Tacoma's audio?

When I am listening to the radio the audio sounds fine. But when i change it to
a CD it plays but the audio is terrible for example you can not hear what they
are saying and you can not hear the beat just like a little bit of sounds of
scratching.

I think the CD player may be bad. I think you can get cleaners that might take lint off the laser and pickup. No guarantees but it is worth a try.
