If you have a stick shift that means the synchronizers are worn and need to be replaced.
thanks for the info where are they located

They are inside the transmission and unless you have excellent transmission skills it would best be left to an expert and have it repaired once and be done with it.
so were talking about the automatic transmission overhaul . when i don't gun the gas its fine. it wouldn't be a linkage adjustment, universal replacement or transmission rubber mounts

Ok, with an auto it could very well be linkage and not the trans mounts. Check the shift linkage bushings and such, if they are worn it could cause the shift lever to pop back to neutral.
thanks guys for all your input, i'll check these ideas thoroughly and let you know the results
Auto trans. Yes, I have the same problem. I am just going to take it in to get the linkage adjusted. Trans seems fine. The torque is pulling it out.
