When rpms are low it jumps when give it gas
I have a 2002 Toyota Tacoma 2.7L manual
transmission. Its cranks great and was
idling great but now its idling just a little
under what it suppose to but still idles
without cutting off just 2 marks (800-
850rmps) under 1000rpms. I can hear a
small miss in it but not that bad. When
driving it I can be in 2nd gear through 5th
gear and when I get down to low rpms and
when I give it gas to speed up it will jump 1-
2 times but not to bad but I can tell it may be
getting a little worse over the past month. I
bought the truck almost a year ago and I've
had no problems at all. I could put it in 3rd
through 5th gear when driving on level road
or up mountain roads and it would gain
speed having it in 5th gear but even when it
was losing speed and I had to shift down to
4th gear it would not jump. And so on to 3rd,
2nd. I'm thinking its the spark plugs or its
not getting gas. I'm going to start with
putting some fuel injection cleaner in the
gas. And then to the coils/plugs. If anyone
can give me some advice I would really
appreciate it. I'm a good (shade tree
mechanic) I've checked air filter and
ect...The truck still runs very good other
than that little jump. Thanks and God Bless
