Water on the floor could come from bad door weather striping. It could come from a plugged sunroof drain hose. It could come down the firewall from a dry weather seal in the cowl. It come from rust holes in the fire wall.
My '96 Alero had the leaking cowl and it took a couple years to find it. The water ran down the firewall behind the carpet. It would rain and a puddle formed on the drivers side floor. --- I drilled a hole through the carpet and floor to drain it.

after taking a closer look it seems to be leaking out of the floor air vents because my drivers foot just got wet. also saw water dripping from underneath glove box area. would this problem occur with no rain outside because its been dry for a week now.
That would be your HVAC heater core drain. There's a rubber hose low and centered on the firewall behind the engine. They sometimes plug up. -- If it smells sweet like coolant, it could be a heater core leak.

Thanks for an insight on the situation, ill take a closer look @ it to see what i can find.
I would bet money it is your heater core.

Same problem with my 2005. pulled back the front carpet and discovered the drain hose from A/C was pulled out of the rubber grommet where it goes through the floor board. Condensation was running under the front carpet and seat and collecting in rear passenger side. Hose could come out with powerful suction when cleaning carpet. Added duct tape to prevent reoccurrence. Easy test would be to run A/C and see whether or not the condensation is dripping on the pavement under the car.
I have an 04, same thing wet floorboard only on passenger side. It's definitely not coming from above the carpet. I'll pull the carpet tomorrow and check on that drain hose. Im in Florida so the AC is on 9 months of the year, I always thought it had something to do with the AC. I'll post what I find, thanks for the tip.Chuck
It's the two plastic clips on the passenger side that the cowl screws screw into to secure the cowl down. These clips have a rubber gasket around them that deteriorate with time and allow water to get around them. Ironically they over the blower motor's raised well and the water drips into the blower motor and drips out of it onto your passenger side floor. I just fixed them on my 2006 Toyota Tundra. I used gutter sealer to seal around them to stop the water from entering. You have to remove the windshield wiper arms, then the cowl screws and remove the cowl. You'll see the white clips with the gasket around them. If they're broken or missing you'll need to replace them. If the gasket is falling apart you can clean away the gasket and use a silicone or gutter sealer to seal around them.
Had same problem. EASY fix. You know that small pool of water on the garage floor that comes from the ac drain hose? Check that hose. Mine was cut off horizontally. When driving at speed, air passing under the hose blocked flow and it backed up and drained on the passenger side. Just cut end of hose at an angle.
This issue is NOT the AC drain I've got an 07 Tacoma and it has rained all day and the truck was parked in the parking lot at work, when I got off there was a puddle in the passenger side floor. definitely rain water. I've been trying to figure this issue out for over a year now. If anyone has any better information about this please post it, Thanks
Me too i got a 2012 Tacoma doind same thing... just can't figure out where the leak is coming from
Has anyone figured this out yet? 99 Tacoma.it's not the ac it only happens when it's raining. I took the ac belt off years ago. But every time it rains there's water in my floorboard pass. Please help!
Has anyone had the updated Toyo lower windshield coal replaced to fix this problem, mine leaks when go through a car wash, coming out of the blower motor cabin filter soaked?

do you park under an area that gets a lot of tree debri/fir needles? I had the same problem once with a Dodge van. It was getting passenger floor board water during rain storms - turns out the front drain holes along the bottom of the windshield were plugged with Douglas Fir needles and forced the water through the air vents
