HOW DO I GET MY INSTRUMENT PANEL LIGHTS TO WORK? 2003 TOYOTA TACOMA

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
I JUST PURCHASED A 2003 TOYOTA TACOMA 2WD REG CAB AND THE LIGHTS IN THE INSTRUMENT PANEL DO NOT WORK, BUT THE SPEEDOMETER AND GAUGES STILL FUNCTION CORRECTLY. THE TEMP CONTROLS AND THE RADIO LIGHTS ARE WORKING AND I HAVE CHECKED THE FUSES INSIDE AND UNDER THE HOOD. I HAVE ALSO CHECKED AND MADE SURE THAT THE DIMMER WASNT TURNED OFF. THE BULBS IN THE INSTRUMENT PANEL SHOW TO BE GOOD, I DIDNT FIND ANY THAT WERE BURNT. PLEASE HELP

Do your taillights work?
OK, just a thought. Was going to say replace taillight fuse, even if it looks good b/c if it blows cluster lights go with. Now I'm thinking ground. will try to find schematic
Check out this thread; schematic will size up, for what it's worth http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/1st-gen-tacomas/268763-instrument-cluster-dash-lights-all-out-help-please.html
I will take a look at this. Thanks for your help.
Dash lights burnt out. You have to take the dash apart to replace them. http://www.customtacos.com/tech.old/index.php?article=77 I replaced my about a year ago with LEDs, now two of those are dead or dieing.
