I had a similar issue where my 96 was stalling out. I’d restart and hit the gas and the engine would ‘load up’. Took it to PEP boys and they diagnosed the Fuel Spider hose in the manifold which wasn’t designed for Ethanol mix which supposedly deteriorates the original fuel spider hose that goes to the fuel injectors. Replaced and now have 305000 miles on her, proudly.
