Why are the running lights staying
on when the ignition is off?

Is the switch set to "off"? I've heard that you must remove the key from the ignition before opening the door (lights go off shortly after). Some vehicles have constant power for the parking/headlights and must be turned off. I assume, you have some type of autolamp that has always worked with the ignition?
