Transmission slipping

My truck starts and normally runs fine but, lately it will not switch gears or
move. It runs and then stops suddenly. Would a transmission flush help? I am
long over do?

see if the fluid is at the right level and is not burnt , that car may not even have a dip stick for the tranny , might want to take it to a shop or stop at autozoo and have the codes read
