Rear differential in 04 avalanche replacing for 04 Denali rear end

I have a 2004 Chevrolet avalanche 1500, 5.3L, 4x4 and blew the rear differential. I need a
replacement asap but don't have the money for new. I asked the pick a part guys just outside
grande prairie and they said I could replace the entire rear axle with a 2004 denali rear end is
that going to work?

I don't see why not as long as the gear ratio is the same as yours. Changing our the entire rear end is quick and easy and relatively cheap compared to doing any sort of repairs on yours.

Jack up one wheel and put a mark on the driveshaft. Turn the wheel one revolution and count the number of times the driveshaft turns. Match that to the axle ratios that were offered with your truck.
