04 Chev. Cavalier low bean lights ok highbeam does not work. What might be wrong?

Low beam headlights work fine will not switch to highbeams.

There's no relay on the Grand Am. There might not be one on the Cavalier. My schematic shows control by the headlight switch on the steering column.

So Mr. Tenspeed, the DRL relay (daytime running lights) relay? These beams have to have some measure of control. How we gonna help Pepper2405?

On the very outside, both hi-beam bulbs are burnt out. If that is not the fix, then the next will be a wire connection, then the high/low beam relay. Make sure you have an electrical connection to the high beam lights at the bulb. If not, the relay may be the problem. Is the DRL on a separate circuit? If so, is that what is lit up and not the driving lights? Check fuses also.. Good luck.

I have the same issue and I have tried everything that I think it could possibly be...........please help
