2004 Chevy classic starts, runs then dies

Asked by yadida Mar 22, 2017 at 02:37 PM about the 2004 Chevrolet Classic FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2004 Chevy classic starts, find for about 10 to
30 seconds then dies, it starts Everytime but dies
also Everytime..... I've attempted to give it gas
when it starts to die and it won't accelerate at
all...... Replaced all the sensors, O² sensors, new
battery, spark plugs, coil pack, a couple new
vacuum lines, replaced fuel pump and fuel filter
and throttle body..... Still does the same thing......I
do have a aftermarket in dash stereo that wasnt
installed professionally, could there be a issue with
the wiring that keeps keeling my car?

Ok, yea, Should have the fuel pressure checked, may be a fuel issue, bad fuel pump or fuel regulator.

I seriously doubt that the wiring has anything to do with it. It sounds like a lack of fuel. If you have replaced the fuel pump and filter, about the only thing left is the fuel pressure regulator.
