Blower

Asked by Lara Aug 05, 2018 at 08:27 PM about the 2004 Chevrolet Colorado Z71 Extended Cab RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Blower works haphazardly. Will work for a while and
then stop suddenly...then it will start as quickly as it
stops. All speeds are affected.
I have replaced the fuses, relays and resistor. No
burnt wires

When problem is ongoing, check voltage and ground at blower motor connector. If voltage and ground are good with no blower action, suspect the blower motor. In the past I've seen faulty blower motors work intermittently. I even took one apart, those little brushes inside were wore down to the nub. good luck
