I took off the driver's side and passenger side door panel of more than one kind of vehicle over the years and found that every car I ever touched had some different voodoo clip of one description or another. The last one I did was an Escort and I asked a few guys for what they knew and nobody had done an Escort but they knew why I was asking. The Ford dealer wasn't going to tell me either,he wanted me to bring it in. So here we go again, undid every visible screw and as usual slipped in a flat blade and peeked behind the panel. Could see a clip but couldn't get at it. So pulled & got first clip yanked out (and ruined) but now I had some play and knew what kind of clip it was. Fixed, greased ,etc. and put panel back on except for the last clip which I just hot melt glued. That's how that one went - just like all the others- end up busting that first clip. voodoo clips all kinds
Tom- I thank ,you for that youtube , that's what I tried to put in words, only thing is I always end up busting a clip (or the slot the clip fits in), and I'm sure there is another busted clip in my future cause there are different kinds.
