2004 Chevrolet Impala - No fan action, yet if you turn on control hear A/C compressor run

Asked by ninja660 Aug 20, 2015 at 12:47 AM about the 2004 Chevrolet Impala FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have replaced the blower motor resistor, the blower motor, and now the actual switch.
Was working the other night but after major rain storm came through and replacing the
switch - nothing!  Tried to replace blower motor while outside of the housing (connected
power connector and the fan didn't even spin. Started the car, could hear A/C compressor
running but again no cool air or hot air.  HELP, this car is drowning me in repairs.

If you applied power directly to the motor and it didn't spin then the motors shot ,,, some motors have multiple leads so be sure your on the right lead. Put an Ohmmeter on the motor you should see< 5 ohms
