Have an 04 impala with a 3.8L engine transmission can i used a 06 impala 3500 V6 engine transmission

I don't think so. You'll have to research that. Your current 2004 Impala with the 3.8L is currently attached to a 4T65E transmission. You'd have to Google it and see if the 2006 Impala also used the 4T65E transmission, and if it did, then you're onto worrying about if the mounting holes are going to line up.
