Asked by Debbie May 11, 2016 at 07:09 PM about the 2004 Chevrolet Malibu LS FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I read lolla7 response to anti-
theft problems on 2004
chevrolet malibu.  Fixed it by
cutting yellow wire from
stereo to ignition and it
disabled anti-theft system
and he had no further
problems starting car.
Anybody else tried this?  I am
tired of the ten minute wait to
reset when I trip the anti-theft
system when starting it.
Heard disabling only true fix.

Good idea. But I don't know how to take out the radio. I will try to find a backyard mechanic to get this done. It is not fun.
