Acceleration
Asked by rickando May 06, 2007 at 08:47 PM about the 2007 Honda Accord EX-L V6
Question type: General
What is the official acceleration time from 0 to 60mph ?
What is the braking distance from 60mph to stop?
Why does Honda use SOHC in their V6 engines instead of the more advanced DOHC?
Thank you for your response.

Since Honda Accords aren't generally considered performance cars, those specs are harder to find than the same numbers for a Nissan or BMW, rickando. The Auto Channel estimates the 0 to 60 time at 6.5 seconds, but Consumer Guide Automotive says 7.0 seconds. I can't find stopping-distance specs anywhere. Honda does make some DOHC V6s, but they put them in more performance-oriented models, such as the Acura NSX, the Honda Prelude, and the Honda Del Sol. Hope that helps!

lol, honda didnt put V6's into the del sols or the preludes. only in accords and nsx's, which are two totally different engines. they also put V6's into a few Acuras too.
