2004 Chevy suburban

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So a few weeks ago my truck started doing
this thing where when I cranked it the gauges
wouldn't work for about 5 minutes then
they'd come on. It didn't happen everytime I
cranked it, maybe every other time. Well the
other day I cranked it got about 5 min down
the Rd and it died like it ran out of gas, but it
had gas. All gauges and lights were working
so I tried recranking it with no luck. About for
hours later when I could get my sister to help
me to it decided to try and crank it before
chaining it up and it cranked. It was acting
like it wanted to die like it was bogged down
so I reversed it all the way home. In the
driveway it stopped and i hit the gas and it
had a delay but it's was like it caught
something and went. Parked it and let it idle,
no problems bf got in and everyone hit the
gas it starts acting bogged down like it's
going to die. Let it idle for about 20 min no
problem. Cut it off. This happened at my
parents house, I love it if town so I got my
sister to bring me home and she's supposed
to be finding someone to put a code reader
on it to see what it is. She said she went
back later and tried to crank it and it did
nothing. Anyone ever experience this it know
what the problem might be?

Hooked a code reader to it and it came back the Purge valve. Don't know what that would have you do with the gauges.
