Fuel
Asked by MommechanicNot Aug 08, 2019 at 11:51 PM about the 2004 Chevrolet Suburban 1500 LS RWD
Question type: Maintenance & Repair
Vehicle stalls when stopping or turning and when
trying to start back up it acts like it is out of gas. It
has gotten worse and it used to eventually start
back up after putting fuel in or waiting but now it is
draining the battery trying to get it started again.
Also, my power steering pump continues to go out
- replaced 4 so far.

As far as stalling, I'd check tac/throttle actuator control. It appears you have drive by wire throttle. Any applicable trouble codes? When you stop or sharp turn, the throttle is closed and foot on the brake which makes it an idle issue. You can try cleaning throttle bore, don't force throttle plate, see if it helps?
Ignore the link in previous post, I had an elderly moment. I was trying to post lo idle code description. lol

Gonna have c checked for codes tomorrow at parts house. Tonight had to changed out some e fuses and now it seems to be running worse.

Yes a good throttle body cleaning took care of my problem, been a year without it dying again!
