2004 Chev Suburban won't shift into OD

I have had this truck for a little over a month. The tranny is not slipping but it won't shift into OD at highway miles.

there may be a solenoid on the side of the tranny thats bad ,

It has the tow package so there is an on/off on the steering column. Have turned it off and on to see if it would shift and it does nothing,
