What is the major thing that owners of 1995 C280's complain about?

Asked by Nick1956 Nov 19, 2007 at 06:21 PM about the 1995 Mercedes-Benz C-Class C 280 Sedan

Question type: General

I just bought a 1995 C280 4dr. Mercedes-Benz with 137,000 miles.  It is clean inside and out.  No rust, dents, scratches, nothing.  Just wondering as a once time C280 owner what to look out for as faer as potential problems.  Any clues???
Thank you,
Nick

Check out www.carsurvey.org to see what reviews real owners have posted about their vehicles. I always check there before I go looking for a used car.

One of the major things owners of a w202 1995 C280 should worry about is the thing everybody hates, RUST! if you dont want it to rust, you should rust proof it every year in the fall and mostly by Krown. Sometimes maybe the antenna might stop working. you might need to do the head gasket on the car unless the previous owner already changed it, because they happen to blow on the w202's around 150,000km or above. Then there might be other little minor problems, but i dont remember at this time but if i do i will let you know.

Be careful watch out for the engine wiring harness the have a tendency of getting dry and brittle... plus they are expensive about $1500.00 to replace
