Im couldnt find any info on a ( turbine speed sensor ) the only thing that I can think of is an ABS speed sensor. Link: http://www.partsgeek.com/ymm/1999/mercedes/c280.html?search=speed+sensor
thanks Michael..i have been researching and have come to the same conclusion..thanks again for your help!!!
No problem, I hope you get it fixed.
Hi Micheal..I had the speed sensor replaced and it seemed to work, then would not go into 4th gear..my mechanic (thank God for honest ones), took the valve body apart and cleaned it!..car shifts like a dream...If this had been a major tranny shop, I am pretty sure, they would have said replace the valve bodies...$2000 later, I may be driving!!..haha..moral to the story?..go to a small shop...they work harder and fix things, rather than a Big Boy shop that quotes replacement or re-built!..Got the car up and repaired for $600.00..unlike major trans shop that quoted $3500!!
Im glad you got it working right, They are great cars.I still miss my first C class.
Yes, these cars are addictive...I really am more of a SEL person..miss my 99 420sel...bullet proof glass, armour plated..it was a "somebodys" car back in the day!!..lol thanks for ur help..hope our conversation helps someone else in the future!! :):):):)
In addition..there is a turbine speed sensor attached to the tranny..but hard to find..ABS speed sensors for each wheel is common!
@Michael I Tried To Go to your link but it doesn't have the part there. I Have The Same Problem in Mine.
