...every time I've replaced a computer it turned out to be weak/bad Chassis ground...take the time to take apart the big black 1/0 cable from the black terminal of the battery to where it attaches to the fender/frame...coarse wirebrush this place and the lug....insure a full 12.5 volts to the ECU with proper grounding (the killer)....make sure that the ECU can see steady reliable ground before condemning it...get a NEW battery~!

How expensive?? I found the computer for $289.00, what would the normal charge for a mechanic to put it in?

to clean the ground connection is FREE...newsflash..we replaced the ECU...the problem was still there...we cleaned the ground and voila...NO returns on electrical components!~

anywhere from one to six hours depending on the skill level of the mechanic~

Could you please tell me where the ECU is located?

well it has four mounting holes...a multipin connector...look on the firewall...or the secondary firewall to find it...I think that it is shiny...really havin' a dickens of a time trying to put a claw on an image....worked my ass off...but nothing...just have to use our heads here~ It's a centrally located item...it has to be, with all of the systems involved~

a trip to the junkyard may prove beneficial, as you could toy around with the junkers all day long...and learn how they go together and come apart~...a pleasant way to spend the afternoon...I like to take pictures of these places~

okay....there isn't any ignition relay on your model...robot keeps tossin coil set at me~ http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/151042679765?lpid=82

Chassis ground to the computer and dashboard is key....actually TEST this voltage at the ignition....lights to make sure that it has a steady 12.5 volts at hand~ "brown power" means trouble and failure...be sure the ground has NO corrosion~
