Pretty common on the i6 engine, make sure you have good clean oil, before you do anything, it's sensitive. Change your oil, likely the VVT Solenoid is a tad gummed up in the screens. BUT if you need to change it, it's is very cheap and fairly easy. Need to loosen the power steering pump a bit to get the VVT to come out all the way. Check for oil on connectors and around the VVT. You CAN clean it, but might as well replace once out IF a fresh oil change doesn't work.
