Need help from Mercedes W124 Masters!

I found a w124 wagon that I'm very interested in. He lives in Oregon, and I
live in Texas. The car is an 1994 E320 Wagon with 264K miles. The guy
says he doesn't have a problem with it mechanically and he drives it 200
miles a week. I trust him 50%. It's a 31 hour drive (2,000 miles). My plan is
my girlfriend and I fly out to Oregon because we also want to explore
around Portland, and he meets us at the airport. We do the deal, and we
go drive around Portland and then start the journey back to Texas. All I
need to know is if this car will make it back on the 2,000 miles trip home. Or
what do I need to check for before attempting this trip? In his photo of the
engine bay he sent me, I don't see any oil leaks from the timing cover. This
car in particular is pretty cheap, so I expect a few problems, which I don't
mind fixing when I get home. Just want to make sure this wagon can make
it on a 2,000 mile trip. And Truck&Trailer is not an option for me.
