POWER STEERING

Asked by siance Mar 11, 2007 at 12:17 PM about the 1997 Mercedes-Benz E-Class E 320

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Where is the power steering compartment under the hood so I can re-fill my fluid. My steering wheel is getting quite hard to turn!

Hi siance. I couldn't track down the specific location on the power steering fill on your E320 but it is probably near the passenger side wheel well and pretty accessible. The info should be in your owners manual which I assume you don't have. That would be a good purchase at your local Benz dealer and while you are at it you can ask where to fill the power steering fluid. If your (or your girlfriend's/wife's) legs are good you can probably get someone at a local garage or Benz dealer to fill it for you without much trouble. Barring any of those options you can probably find the Chilton's Manual for your Benz at the local library and you'll get your answers there. Good luck!
