2006 E Class Mercedes window lock question

Asked by Mari Oct 05, 2013 at 10:05 AM about the 2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class E 350 4MATIC

Question type: General

Is there a way to lock the front passenger window on my 2006 E Class Mercedes?  I am
able to lock the back windows, using the device on the driver's door, but am unable to
lock the front passenger window (as I can do on my1992 Toyota Camry).  I have an adult,
disabled son who must ride in the front passenger seat for safety reasons but he operates
his window, up and down, throughout a drive.  He is not the only person who sits in the
front passenger seat so I am reluctant to disable it.  I would just like to lock it for the
times that he is in the front passenger seat.  I have taken it to a Mercedes dealer to ask
them to help but they didn't know how to do it.  Any suggestions?

im sure this can be done, thrue the remote programing . some research would be needed , a benz forum site search in the making. or simply have someone remove the door panel and wire a hidden toggle switch at bottom of same door , and please replace this amusement with another something for contentment. if you can.

If the suggestion above doesn't work your best option, as brutal as it may sound, would be to splice a seperate switch into the wiring for that window and place it somewhere only reachable by the driver.
