Question type: General

Car already wouldn’t want to idle but you could give it gas
quickly shift to drive an when it finally responded an got
initial rpms the car ran perfect, would also idle itself up as
you had to stop for traffic, I’m assuming trying to keep
itself running?? Popped the hood glanced at bad hoses
assumed that’s it....taken the whole intake off replacing
hoses, broke the brake booster hose it’s otw maybe it’s
the last broken hose, there’s a short hose with round
plastic piece on egr valve?? Don’t know where it goes or
what goes to or the tit on the opposite side of the intake
manifold is for? It’s beside the broken brake booster??
Backside diagram of 430 engine, ideas on initial idle
problem??

If the EGR valve or hose is bad this will cause the engine not to run properly. The hose will be attached to the EGR canister. Do not forget to replace the power brake booster hose as well.

Brake booster hose is def bad but I broke it putting the manifold back in after replacing the hose on lower side of intake myself- big mistake everything was brittle an out of my familiarity.. it already was hard to press the brakes and idling crappy, maybe it’s the egr valve as well as the hose? Cranks now but runs terrible and pours blue smoke from exhaust

I don't like to have to repeat this, but don't mess with things if you are not familiar with what you are doing. Are you sure that you put everything back together the way it is supposed to be? You may want to replace the EGR valve an the hose to see if that helps.

I’ve definitely learned my lesson an will do nothing more than an oil change myself, I’m sure it’s all back together right wouldn’t have took it apart but looking into the intake it was ran hard an put up wet, I have one plug that runs on the driver side injectors that I couldn’t find the plug for other than that everything is 100 percent back in place...waiting on replacement brake hoses an I’ll post the progress. Thank you sir for your time & knowledge
