Check engine light came on and temp gauge nor registering

I went to the store it was fine ran normal then on
the way home my check engine light came on and
my temp gauge won’t read at all. 2003 Chevy
avalanche

Sounds like the coolant temperature sensor is disconnected or has failed. Hope that helps! Jim

It started working again today on my way to get it scanned but the check engine light never went off it’s still on this is what it came up as, dude told me there was nothing they could but to take it to a shop. Everything else is fine and still runs great I’m gonna get it in the shop this week...
