Was this a used car dealership?? And, did you purchase the car "as is"?
Lemon laws do not cover used cars. If you have the paperwork proving that you bought the warranty then you are gold. If they refuse to honor the coverage you bought then you may have to sue. Just keep the paper work in your possession and remind them that you have it in writing so there is no option for them but to fix the car.
Full_of_Regrets- yes, this is correct. This is why, you should never purchase a car advertised "as is" especially from a used car dealership! I think there may be some circumstances in which you purchase a car and it has an implied warranty, as long as it was NOT advertised in "as is" condition and it should be covered for at least 90 days? See this below, https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Implied_warranty
You should have read this before you purchased your car. https://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0055-buying-used-car
I'll bet you purchased this solely based on price and did not get the vehicle inspection. Plus, the so called warranty you have probably is for mechanical breakdown insurance. Call the company that issued the policy and see what they say. There are exclusions, good luck.
