How long since over--all tune-up? Any applicable trouble codes? If you have spider fuel system, that system is noted for problems. Fuel pressure spec says 55--62 psi. Could be other issues? I'm like you, need something to point me in right direction. good luck

Just to add, if your saying it won't idle, check and clean anything that has to do with idle air system. Clean throttle body and iac, see if it helps.

I had to use starter fluid to get it started gave it had and it dies. So no it won't idle. I'll give it a try. Thank you let you know how it goes

The throttle adds air. Yes, there is sensor on throttle body that tells pcm, you opened the throttle, so the pcm can add more gas by way of fuel injector pulse. Did you check proper fuel pressure?

I also need to know how to check the proper fuel pressure. Do I need any special tools? I am pretty handy but have never had to check the fuel pressure before. HELP! Answer to the question originally asked in this thread. : Sounds like it jumped timing. You can check the pressure and if low or zero - it jumped timing.
