What could be causing my transfer case motor on my 2002 Ford F250 to go out? I've had to replace it twice in the last month.

Transfer Case Motor failure; twice in one week...

neither time was the 4 wheel drive being used. The first time, we parked the truck and the next day it wouldn't go into gear. The 2nd time, after the truck had been parked, the truck wouldn't shift out of 2nd gear and we learned that it was stuck in 4 low. Again, neither time had we put the truck in 4 wheel drive.

Yes! Short in the solenoid actuator... Hopefully this fixed my problem! Thanks!!!
