Air Filter housing....PCV draws clean air from to crankcase

It's the one right in front behind the hood latch, above the radiator itself.. It sits right on top of the throttle body itself. Power steering is to the right between the actual air filter and this box. This is the box with the 2 humps on top and where the Curved tube from the air filter box( which is right above the battery).

yes it's a positive crankcase ventillator...yes it is important...yes it is just a tube...no it's nothing to worry about (unless disconnected)....yes they can get fouled....yes they are like five dollars to replace...any other questions?

Judge Roy, the ventilator BOX tube is cracked off and the hose going to it back to the valve cover is now not connected. We can't find the large housing to reattached to the hose. so is called crank case ventilator, boy junk yards don't seem to have them, you need to buy the whole air filter assembly. Where else can you find them?

pickNpull...take a morning off of work, put on your boots and gloves and find a junker of the same model~these parts are cheap (always seems to be raining when I visit a junkyard)~

If you can use some bra-kleen you may be able to use an epoxy repair (such as J-B weld [if done properly] or even krazy glue gel~

bet there are TONS of these chevies at every pickNpull in town~
CAN SOMEONE WITH A 2002 CAVALIER TELL ME WHERE THE EGR CONNECTOR TIES IN? MINE IS MISSING
The part is referred to as a Resonator. I had the same issue and ordered a replacement including shipping for ~$90. Repair takes 10 min and attaches by 2 bands to throttle body and air filter body.
