I have a 2002 f250 7.3 diesel. I have a fuel leak somewhere around the fuel filter case. Is there a common fuel leak problem with one of the metal hoses associated with the fuel.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I get a puddling of fuel on the manifold by the fuel filter unit. There are several
metal hoses that connect but not sure just which one it might be. Cant really
see to much stuff in the way. Is there a common leakage problem with these
units.

If the hoses are leaking you need to look at tightening up the connections or replacing the hoses if they are old. If the top to the filter housing is leaking then replace the seal. Here is a video that shows how to replace the filter ---- http://www.ask.com/youtube? q=2002+ford+f350+diesel+fuel+filter&v=TIK0KIkQNa4&qsrc=472
