location of fuel safety shut off switch 2003 chev caviler

if you are referring to an inertia switch an 03 cavalier doesn't have one. They have a fuel pump relay that is activated by the pcm. there are some safety shut offs built into the system but in my experience if you don't have fuel pump running on one of these cars it is usually the fuel pump.
The fuel pump shut off or reset button is located on my 2003 cavalier under the drivers side of the dash almost next to the center console you'll notice a red or orange button on the side mine had a square button I have the LS Sport 2.2 twin cam.my brother had the basic model his was in the trunk on the passenger side under the carpet on top of the rear wheel well.its hidden I've also seen the on pontiac sunfires under the dash on the driver side next to the kick panel .....I race these type cars and we strip everything but I have to keep this switch and the pcm and relays and fuses that run the motor.hope this was helpful.you other guys need to do alil more digging.ps this switch is no bigger then a matchbox car with either a square or round button either red or orange.if it's up it been set off if it's down I'd check to see if power is present. If you have power then check to see if you have power at the pump .sometimes the connector corrodes on pin 4 which is the ground a good battery cleaner spray will clean this connection and a good oxy guard will eliminate further corrosion.if all this checks good and still no power to pump then pump is bad just to be sure if car isnt already lifted and supported take a rubber mallet and smack the bottom of the tank this might or might not work sometimes the fuel pump sending unit gets stuck and a tap from either the palm of your hand or the smack of a rubber mallet doesn't the release.
