Mechanic did something because
it wouldn't go into first gear .he did
something now it grinds in 3rd 4th
and 5th and it won't go into
reverse

Sounds like you have air in the system.Did you bleed out the slave cylinder?? is anything leaking?clutch lines,master,slave cylinder?
