I changed the alternator on my Ford F250 Super Duty
2000 model and when I got it tested at O'Reilly's while  it
was on the truck it said voltage regulator  an only putting
out 11.9 but when I took it off and got it tested in the storr
it was good .any suggestions? I just got the truck and
changed all the connections and even bought a new
battery because it was draining the old battery and when's
keeping it charged someone told me it was between
alternator and battery any clues just got the battery and it
might rain again

Yea, you do not want to drain down a new battery, its hard on it. And the alternator is not putting out so it has to be with the wiring on the truck. The alternator should be putting out 14.5 DCV. Check the wires at the plugin at the alternator, one may be broke under the insulation, and check the main positive wire running to the alternator, a lot of times there is a fuse-able link in that wire that may be burnt out.

do you know is changing the fusible link wire a hard job or can I do it myself and also do you know if I have a mega fuse on that model truck

Mega? I don't know but there are big fuses in there. So that would be a good idea to check the fuses just in case the old alternator popped one. I know one of the fuses are for the alternator, And I wouldn't think it would be hard to change out that main wire to the alternator. Just test it by doing a continuity check on it with a digital multi meter.

also my positive battery post connect the wire with black like it was scartched
