I have replaced my water pump, replaced the intake gasket on my chevy impala 03 and the gauge still goes up to 240 what could the problem be. Still not getting heat at night.

Was the system flushed ? Is the thermostat opening? Are the cooling fans coming on when the car is up to temperature? Are the blends doors for the heat opening up to give you heat?
