Power steering fluid question

Asked by Bears993 Jun 19, 2016 at 12:38 AM about the 2003 Chevrolet Malibu FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So I recently went into an auto shop and got the
leak detector fluorescent dye in my power steering
fluid. The problem is I haven't been able to get
back up there for them to fix my leak. My question
is. Is it okay to add power steering fluid to it for
now until I get a chance to get the leak repaired? Is
it safe to add fluid with the dye still in there? My
fluid is a fluorescent green color like the dye right
now and is it ok to add my regular PS fluid to it?
