Spark plug issue

OK the car started running hot so my boyfriend put water in it and bled the line.he took a water hose and put it in the bottom hose of the motor to flush it out while it was running and it built up pressure so he took it out. He fixed the running hot problem but now theres a ticking and it idles rough and there is wetness on the sparkplug
He put permanent seal in it and it still has a tick and the sparkplugs still getting wet with something
Is there not any way he can fix it with out having to take the head off? The motor itself runs real good it just has that tick and it is idling really rough
In the resoirvor how long do you think it will take to get to the crack?
We don't know if there is one or not but was told we might have one. We put block seal in it and let it run for 20 minutes. He cut the catalytic converter out and straight piped it because it had a rotten egg smell when all this ticking started. The car runs better but the ticking hasn't stopped and it has a skip in its give it gas the ticking slows down but is lacking power
the rotten egg smell was a stuck open thermostat. replace that coolant thermostat engine is running cold.
the heat could have broke down the oil.. sludge in the oil intake. that could lessen oil pressure & make the ticking. i hope the headgasket holds... look at the oil for any signs of water. pull out the dipstick and check AFTER running engine and cooling off.
OK spark plugs were changed, oil was changed, oil filter changed, block seal in the radiator. But the engine is still ticking. What can the problem be
