03 Chevrolet Suburban LT Reduced Engine power message?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
Purchased a 2003 Chevrolet Suburban with the 5.3L v8 in it a couple months
back. Drove good until it started throwing "Reduced Engine Power". Won't let
the vehicle go over 15 mph when it does this and have to pull over and shut it
off and let it sit before it will drive without doing it. Have noticed that it usually
only does it when accelerating. Anyone know what this is?

Have it checked for codes, the common one is the p1516, which is the Throttle Positioning Sensor and wiring plugin. Wires will break internally at the plugin, when I purchased mine, it came with a new wire plugin. Any code that is p1515 to p1519 that comes up.....P1516 CHEVROLET - Throttle Actuator Control Module, Throttle Actuator Position Performance...Possible causes; Faulty Throttle Actuator Control (TAC) module, Throttle Actuator Control (TAC) module harness is open or shorted, Throttle Actuator Control (TAC) module circuit poor electrical connection, Check Throttle Actuator Control (TAC) module connector for water, Binding or bent throttle plate-failed throttle body....Check this out....https://youtu.be/U2DjMcM_Quk
Any luck with yours ? Mine does same and I have put a lot into it ..still throws these codes
