I don't think it has one.
I don't think the car has a cabin filter. I do not see one for sale.
I noticed this online...It seems that the 2006 Fusion does have a HVAC cabin air filter. Take a look at this website for explanation of where it is and how to replace (there are pics included): http://www.paulstravelpictures.com/Ford-Fusion-HVAC-Cabin-Air- Filter-Replacement-Guide/index.html
Marthabobbys...Were you able to locate the Cabin Air Filter or not?? Just curious.....Most newer cars should have them to help filter out airborne contaminants from entering the inside of the car.
I have never seen one on those year fusions
Hi kbro....If you look at that link I posted, it does show pics of where the filter is located (glovebox area, if I remember correctly). Unless that information is wrong, but it looks legit.
Ill look on the ford site and see if it shows a procedure to replace it when i get to a computer.
There is no procedure to replace it in the manual and it says nothing about it having one anywhere in the air distribution and filtering section.
Oh well..guess that weblink I posted was BS then....as long as the Engine has an air filter it's all good I guess. Guess you Fusion owners will have to wear an air filtration mask or something o.O
Racer_x you were correct...it DOES have one. Just replaced mine when it got clogged after apartment building fire and i wasnt able to move my vehicle. Thank you so much for posting. filter was a little steep in price (45.00) but it worked.
Can someone tell me where it is located the cabin air filter?
Can someone email me to let me know where the cabin air filter is located? Neiakyser@gmail.com
The 2006 to 2009 series of Ford Fusion does not have an cabin air filter. The housing is indeed there but it is a sealed unit and does not have a removable door. The later models may be the ones with the removable door and filter but the first generation Fusion does not have one.
As GuruBDSWR has stated there is indeed a unit/housing behind the glove box, however it does not have a removable door as it is a sealed unit. It DOES have a filter, you can see it and feel it at the top of the unit with your hands (careful sticking your hands above it as there are many sharp edges). However, the filter was never meant to be replaced.
