vin problem

Asked by Jon_Kelm Jan 22, 2019 at 11:10 PM about the 1996 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra Coupe

Question type: Car Selling & Trading In

whenever I try to type my vehicle's VIN into my add for which I am selling the
car, it says it is not the car I have. I have a 1996 Mustang SVT Cobra and the
vin is 1FALP47V7TF208790 and it is saying it is just a regular mustang, but in
every other search engine, including the CarGurus my car's value bar, it says it
is a cobra.

According to my DMS it is a Cobra. Keep in mind some systems are not that advance to recognize a trim level or some other detail about your car, but they may have an option to change it to what it actually is. Look for a drop down box or a space that you can type in the specific detail.

Thank you for the answer, and it worked the at first, but I had to re-do the listing because it said there was an error. Now when I try to put in the same vin, that is 100% a cobra vin it isn’t working anymore. I just didn’t list a vin on the add and put it in the description
