Gas gauge no longer works. Also the radio and clock stay on when vehicle is turned off. Drains the battery. This is the second ford truck I've had with this problem.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Had to install an 'on/off/ switch at the battery.  The gas gauge no longer
works, and when you turn off the vehicle the radio stays on, as well as the
clock.  I can turn the radio off, but not the clock.  This drains the battery
more quickly than expected.  Had an F-150 that did the same thing.  Finally
got rid of that one!  It was a money pit.  Want to keep this one though.  Any
solutions out there?

The radio and clock are designed to stay on until you open the driver's door or ten minutes elapses. It has never drained my battery and I have always taken advantage of the fact that I can listen to the radio after turning off the ignition. I purchase my truck new. Hope this helps you, sir.
